Clive Christian's predecessor was the Crown perfumery company, founded in 1872. This is the only brand ever allowed to use Queen Victoria's crown on its bottles. Clive Christian actually started changing some minds in the 1970s. A kitchen was for cooking, nothing more than that, just functional. Clive Christian changed that by hanging a large chandelier in the kitchen because the kitchen is often the heart of a home! Something he understood well then, because today most kitchens are already integrated into the living room. Clive Christian Furniture was founded in 1978, creating luxurious Victorian kitchens, completely custom-made. In 1999, Clive Christian took the opportunity to purchase the Crown perfumery company and transform it into Clive Christian as we know it today! His goal, hypnotic scents with the best ingredients! Many new collections followed.
The original collection was launched in 1999, the private collection in 2010, the Noble collection in 2016, and the Addictive Arts collection in 2017.
