Clive Christian's predecessor was the Crown perfumery company, founded in 1872. This is the only brand ever permitted to use Queen Victoria's crown on its bottles. In the 1970s, Clive Christian actually began to change certain ideas. A kitchen was for cooking, nothing more than that, simply functional. Clive Christian changed that by installing a large chandelier in the kitchen, as the kitchen is often the heart of the home! He understood this well even then, as most kitchens are now integrated into the living room. In 1978, Clive Christian Furniture was founded, and the luxurious Victorian kitchens, completely custom-made, were introduced. In 1999, Clive Christian seized the opportunity to purchase the Crown perfumery company and transform it into the Clive Christian brand we know today! His goal: mesmerizing fragrances made with the finest ingredients! Many new collections followed.
The original collection was launched in 1999, the private collection in 2010, the Noble collection in 2016, and the Addictive Arts collection in 2017.
