Interlude Black Iris Eau de Parfum from Amouage
Amouage's new perfume is the Interlude Black Iris Man. (2020) This is a spicy, woody Eau de Parfum made by perfumer Pierre Negrin with a concentracion of 25% fragrance oil. At the heart of Interlude Black Iris Man you will find frankincense and myrrh which makes a very powerful Oriental perfume. Bergamot, Rosemary and Violet Leaves evoke continuous conflict intervals, countered by notes of Amber, Incense, Cistus and Myrrh. A layer of Orris Absolute and Vanille provides peace of mind in the Interlude Black Iris. Finally, notes of leather, Agarwood Smoke, Patchouli, Sandalwood and Cedarwood in the base provide lasting depth and power.

“Compared to its predecessor from 2012, Interlude Black Iris shows several differences. Oregano and rosemary notes have been toned down, resulting in an opening that feels slightly sparkling and wetter, with the addition of Violet. In addition, Orris adds an extra softness to the heart of the fragrance, complementing the vanilla. Finally, the overall woodiness comes to the fore more quickly in the composition. "
